Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Deakin University HDR RTP Scholarship/DUPR Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be a domestic or international student enrolled in a research degree (Master by Research or PhD) at Deakin University.
- You must not be receiving an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth designed to offset your tuition fees.
- You must not be receiving income from another source to support your general living costs while undertaking your research degree if that income is greater than 75% of your scholarship stipend rate.
- You must have completed at least four years of tertiary education studies and achieved a minimum of 80% or equivalent in the research component of your previous study or an equivalent level of academic attainment, taking into account your previous study, relevant work experience, research publications and other research experience.

Financial Coverage
The Deakin University HDR RTP Scholarship/DUPR Scholarship provides the following benefits to the successful applicants:
- A stipend of $33,500 per annum tax exempt (effective from 28/05/2023) for up to three years for doctoral degree students and up to two years for research master degree students.
- A tuition fees offset for up to four years for doctoral degree students and up to two years for research master degree students.
- A relocation allowance from $500 to $1,500 (for single to family) awarded to students who are moving from interstate or overseas in order to study at Deakin University.
- For international students only: A single Overseas Student Health Cover policy for the duration of your student visa.
