The Three Dot Dash Global Teen Leaders Program 2024 is a worldwide initiative of the We Are Family Foundation that aims to recognize and support the efforts of Global Teen Leaders (GTLs) who are actively working on solutions that promote a more peaceful society.
Eligibility Criteria
The program offers the following benefits to the selected GTLs:
- A one-week Just Peace Summit in New York, where they will meet other GTLs, mentors, experts, and speakers, and participate in various workshops, trainings, and networking events.
- A one-year mentorship with an extraordinary leader who will provide guidance, feedback, and resources to help them grow their work and impact.
- Access to a global network of GTLs, mentors, and partners who will offer ongoing support, collaboration, and opportunities.
To be eligible for the program, potential GTLs must meet all of the following qualifications and requirements:
- Be between 13 and 19 years old at the time of application.
- Have a project or an organization that addresses one or more basic human needs.
- Be the founder or co-founder of their own project or organization.
- Be committed to expanding their work and impact now and in the future.
- Have already achieved tangible results with their work.
- Speak and write English proficiently.
- Be able to travel to the United States and participate in the entire summit (no exceptions).
- Be nominated by a qualified nominator (see below).

Financial Coverage
The Three Dot Dash Global Teen Leaders Program 2024 is a fully-funded program that covers all the expenses of the selected GTLs, including:
- Airfare or train travel to and from New York.
- Visa fees (if applicable).
- Hotel accommodation for the duration of the summit.
- Meals and ground transportation in New York.
- Summit materials and activities.
Requirement
In order to apply for the program, potential GTLs must be nominated by one of the following qualified nominators:
- A Three Dot Dash Coalition Partner.
- A GTL Alumni.
- A Mentor Alumni.
- A staff member from an educational institution.
- A We Are Family Foundation or Three Dot Dash team member.
- A We Are Family Foundation board member.
The nominator must be familiar with the potential GTL’s work and impact, and must complete and submit a nominator form by the application deadline. The nominator must also inform the potential GTL that they have been nominated and encourage them to complete and submit a nominee form by the application deadline. Failure to submit both forms will result in automatic disqualification.
Document Requirement
The potential GTL must provide the following documents as part of their nominee form:
- A personal statement that describes their project or organization, its mission, goals, activities, achievements, challenges, and future plans. The statement should also explain why they want to participate in the program and what they hope to gain from it.
- A resume or curriculum vitae that summarizes their education, work experience, awards, honors, skills, and interests.
- A letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, or supervisor who can attest to their leadership potential, character, and work ethic.
- A copy of their passport or other official identification document that shows their date of birth and nationality.
- A recent photo of themselves.

Application Procedure
How to Apply
The application process for the Three Dot Dash Global Teen Leaders Program 2024 consists of the following steps:
- The nominator completes and submits the nominator form online by February 12, 2024.
- The nominator informs the potential GTL that they have been nominated and encourages them to complete and submit the nominee form online by February 12, 2024.
- The potential GTL completes and submits the nominee form online by February 12, 2024, along with the required documents.
- The We Are Family Foundation reviews the applications and selects the finalists by March 15, 2024.
- The finalists are notified and invited to participate in a video interview with the We Are Family Foundation by March 31, 2024.
- The We Are Family Foundation announces the final selection of the GTLs by April 15, 2024.
- The GTLs prepare for the summit and travel to New York by June 15, 2024.
- The GTLs attend the Just Peace Summit in New York from June 22 to June 28, 2024.
Deadline
The deadline for submitting both the nominator form and the nominee form is February 12, 2024. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted.
